Welcome to my playground :D

A few months ago I realized that I had already been studying for 22 semesters. That didn't surprise me at all. I have always loved learning and developing. For me, the courses have always been and are an accompaniment to my main work as an artist. During my art teaching studies, I worked voluntarily in schools, as a special education teacher and tried out my first illustrations and stories.

In addition to my studies, I had a Journallist scholarship that not only paid for my studies, but also allowed me to work in various editorial departments. Later she also worked for three months at ARD in New York with Thomas Roth. There I had the chance to get a taste of radio and television and conduct interviews myself. Since I always wanted to study art, I went to Robert Cenedella at the Art Students League in New York for a year. A free art academy. There I not only learned about oil painting, but also how to illustrate. The independent academy, of which I am now a selected lifetime member, led me to study illustration in Berlin at the Berlin Technical School of Art - now the University of Europe Berlin - with Prof. Hans Baltzer. I completed my compulsory internship with the illustrator Nele Brönner, where I gained a deep insight into book design. During my studies, I not only created my very first comic with Prof. Volker Schlecht, but also my first graphic novel with my mentor Prof. Ulli Lust. This debut was published after my bachelor's degree at Edition Moderne in Zurich in 2022. After graduating, I received a scholarship with Judith Vanistendael and six months later I was accepted into the master's program in 'Graphic Narrative' with Prof. Anke Feuchtenberger. Since then I have been working on my second 'graphic narrative'. Since 2022, I have not only run the evening studio in the Kommunale Galerie Berlin once a month, but also lecture on illustration and the basics of design at universities. The exchange with my students means a lot to me and I have noticed how nice it is to be 'creative together'. That's why I'm writing this block because I want to share my ideas and thoughts not just with my desk, but with you. My goal is to inspire you to 'be creative' without pressure.
